We went to the temple today to take pictures with some of my best friends! It was really pretty with all of the snow! These are the girls that I hang out with the most! On the bottom pic from left to right it goes, Kirstie (Annies roommate), Me!, Marissa (from summer), Annie (my twin!), and Dannielle (also from summer!). We have soo much fun together!

Halloween!

So for Halloween we decided to go all out! haha and Christina sent me enough fake eyelashes for all of my roommates. Not all wanted to wear them so some of my other friends did, but it was soo fun! You can kinda see them in the first picture. I was a bat and Susan (in the first and 2nd pic) borrowed my witch hat to be a witch! Kim (in the bottom pic) just wore her ugly sweater with matching hideous barette and ear rings. haha. This is me trying to put the eyelashes on her. You can see the silver in my hair!

Blood Drive

Soo I donated blood one day and they messed up putting the needle in! It hurt so bad! but I saved 3 lives! It left a nice bruise, but most of what you can see here is the iodine still on my arm... haha so it looks a lot worse than it actually is.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! so heres some pics to help me catch up...

So to start with, here was my first snow in Provo! it was October 19th and it has snowed much harder 2 or 3 times now... it might even be snowing right now...! that snow fall was wimpy and nothing stuck. But i had my first real snowball fight last weekend when it snowed hard! (Dec 1st) It all started when 3 of my fav guy friends (in my fhe group) woke us up by throwing snowballs at out window! granted it was 1230, but i was still sleeping! so I got up and they left and I went to lunch with Annie (my twin!) and then she came back to my apartment. On our way I helped her make her first snow angel! (she's from Cali and never seen so much snow... kinda like me!) and then we took snowballs and attacked the same guys that threw snowballs at my window! (even tho it wasn't annie who they woke up too... she was the only one who wanted to help!) but we went inside their apartment and got them on the couch! so they suited up and we had a crazy fun snowball fight! It was me and Annie against Steven (who is from Alaska) and Mark (from So. Cal.). I got a bruise, but it was totally worth it! it was soo fun!

Conference Weekend!

hmm... lets seee... I need to update.... so I took some midterms and such... I did alright, wish I had done better, but that always seems to happen... so for conference weekend we went to this place called Studio 600. Its in SLC, and it was just like a huge dance. It was soo fun! We had a big group going too so that made it even more fun! A lot of them were my fhe brothers and then roommates and girlfriends from this summer. It was great. It was a special event kinda deal because of conference weekend... it was the conference dance! haha it was so funny! Only in Utah! (we use that phrase a lot!). The biggest downfall was that one of my fhe brothers lost his phone (a blackberry kinda phone, but not a blackberry, very similar). He was very upset. but the next day he and some roommates looked on the internet the last calls from it and called them and eventually got it back. They drove back to Salt Lake and the guy who had it gave it back! Only in Utah!! haha. he said he thought it was his brothers or something so he picked it up off the floor. soo after the dance we stopped in Sandy on the way home to drop off Kim at home, and then we went to Ihop. We go there all the time, but always late at night! its open 24hours! Annnd we got home... late. haha.

So then I missed the first session on saturday but saw almost all of the second. Then... my roommate and I went to the mall. (Susan, from Texas) and I got a really warm reallly cute green winter coat for only $35! We had to stake out for it though because they were selling so fast that people were putting them on hold til closing so I came back for it 10 minutes before they were to close and asked the manager if I could buy it and she sold it to me! I wear it all the time! I love it! I'll put up a picture soon. so then we got home and we (susan and I) were just planing on watching movies but then we got invited to go disco roller skating! (Only in Utah! haha) It was soo fun! it was basically just roller skating but in funny clothes with disco music playing. Afterwards we ate at Wendy's and then went to the dollar theater (I was actually kinda kidnapped into going!) and saw Evan Almighty. It was cute. I was sooo tired I almost fell asleep on this guys shoulder! It was cute... and actually we're dating now. As of last night! He's great. But don't worry mom! he's a premie! haha...

so then sunday... watched conference with my fhe husband.... annnd went to tunnel singing. it was fun.

so far this weekend I went to the Heritage Halls dance for a few minutes and then we went to my friend Kirsties house (she's from provo. or orem?... same thing basically) and watched Brigham City. It was really good. Kinda scary and really intense but I liked it. And today I don't have any plans yet... but i'm sure we'll do something cheap and fun tonight!

Am Htg meets MC Hammer

ok soooo.... totally embarassing story. haha but its worth it to tell. So today in American Heritage my teacher was trying to teach us about law of supply and demand or something. and so he asked us "Who would dance in front of the class for $100 (majority raise their hands) and what about $50? (less people raise their hands)" and he keeps going down until he hits 10 cents to dance in front of the class because he narrowed it down to 5 people like he wanted. One of which was me. two others were my roommates (kim and susan) and then another girl in my ward (its freshman academy so my whole building is in my class) and another guy I don't even know. So he says "Come on Down!" so the 5 of us proceed to run (we were excited, nothing like this ever happens in classes) down to the front of the classroom and put on parachute pants and dance like mc hammer!! annndd it was a competition! so we each had to dance individually in front of our lecture class of about 200 where we know the majority. IT WAS SO EMBARASSING!!!! but soo fun! haha. then we actually got a dollar for doing it too. Needless to say I did not win, but it was definetly worth it! Now everyone really laughs at me! just like I told you mom! There is definetly a video of it, I will post it as soon as I get a copy!

PS i thought i posted this before but it just saved it to a draft so all this occurred on Oct. 3rd

this weekend was crazzy! this past week was homecoming week so there were lots of fun things going on! Tuesday night was hike and light the Y. I didn't get to do it because I had to go to an orientation meeting for the volunteer program I'm doing. I start TOPS (as its called) on Friday. My roommate hiked the Y and said it was fun. Anyways, so Thursday there was a program called "Spectacular" which was rightly named. Many of BYU's top performing groups performed including the ballroom dance team, living legends, young ambassadors (the travelling singing and dancing group) and then the orchestra at temple square came and the MORMON TABERNACLE CHOIR! it was amazing! my favorite part (which made me think of Papa) was when the Orchestra played and Mo Tab sorta accompanied with humming and such (no words) and the best of the ball room dance team danced to "If you could Hi to Kolob". It brought tears to my eyes. It was amazing. The rest was too, but that was the best. My other favorite was when the dance team danced to the "Pirates of the Carribean" theme. It was really good. I kind of expected it to be a little bit cheesy, but it wasn't at all. it was Spectacular! haha! its going to be broadcasted on KBYU during Thanksgiving, so I'm going to drive to video tape it! I really want you guys to see it! (christina, you could probly get it though)

So then Saturday was the Homecoming game! My first football game! I painted my face! haha. it was soo fun. It rained some and was kinda cold after I was wet, but it was totally worth it! annndd we won! Be beat Airforce like 31 to 14 i think. I beat them bad! it was great! Then I played with some of my friends from summer. (Annie, my twin and her roommate Kirstie) Then Annie got asked to Homecoming dance so me and Kirstie invited boys over to her apartment (at Wyview) and watched Zoolander. It was fun.

Sunday, was mostly uneventful except for trying to write a paper for like 5 hours, but I was struggleing soo much that I had to change topics. I ended up writing it Monday night and finishing it at 11:30am with a few hours of sleep in between. My class started at 12:05. haha. Definetly NOT doing that again.

Monday we have FHE. I'm one of the group leaders. Soo we went to our 1st counselors house for dinner (his wife was worried we weren't eating well! they're soo nice!) and then we played games and talked for a while. It ended up lasting like 3 1/2 hours! but it was soo fun! and there are some cute boys in my group too!

Soo yesterday when I finished with classes I was walking back home and there were many firetrucks in a building near mine! Aparrently what had happened was that the RA (ironic) left the oven on or something, and so it starte a small fire. Mostly there was just smoke, but it was especially ironic because this week is safety week! annnd we had a practice fire drill like an hour after the real one! then after that we went over to our fhe bro's apartment and made a cake! a better than anything cake! it was good.

so now i'm sitting in the wilk. oh! I almost forgot! haha. today was my first day of work! i'm doing custodial in the JFSB (the new building). It was fun. I just followed my supervisor around for 3 1/2 hours and did a little training. We also went to breakfast at the Wilk and I helped her do some stuff on the computer. The coolest part is that there are these 2 classrooms that are on turntables and at 9:50 I got to turn them around so they face the same direction so it makes one big classroom. Like i turn them 180 degrees so theres no longer a wall in between. and its battery powere so i just ride it! its fun! haha.

ok so now i'm still sitting in the wilk. Im meeting with one of my TA's for a review session for American Heritage. so yeah! i'm gonna do some hw till we start!

Devotional with Pres. Hinkley

I got up at 6:30 this morning and was in line to see the prophet by 7:30. Devotional starts at 11:05. It was crazy. Some people camped out overnight to be first in line. Luckily we live close to the Marriott Center where it was held. It was soo cold this morning! I was wearing dress pants with a thin hoodie and a big winter jacket on top! and I brought my extra blanket with me. Once we were inside it was kinda cramped and tentions were running high. haha. ironic. competition for seats though... it was stressful. I didn't save any, but Sharlee (from Raleigh!) saved one for her brother, and he barely made it. Pres. Hinckley spoke about the 13 article of faith and such. It was great, but when is he not?

College life so far!

So far, college is great! I love my roommates, my classes are good (except one) but I love living in apartment style dorms and the location is great. Not too far from campus, but you can still get a nice little walk at the same time. No big hill to climb up everyday like at helaman halls. I'm very thankful for that. Birthday today! We're gonna have cookies and then go to tunnel singing. Thats pretty much what it sounds like... a whole bunch of students go and sing hymns in a tunnel. haha. but its really cool. The spirit is amazing there.

Homecoming game this week! We're playing Airforce. I'm gonna paint my face!

Oh aannnd the prophet is coming to devotional on Tuesday! soo we're planning on going waaay really in order to even get in, but hopefully get good seats too. I love that guy. =)
